The St. Augustine Community Food Pantry is committed to protecting our clients and staff from COVID-19.
We ask our clients to remain in their car during pick up
and to wear a mask.
St Augustine Catholic Church began a mission of serving those in need when the parish first opened 1887. Today the pantry is an agency of Food Bank of the Rockies, and through the support of the parish, its generous volunteers and business partners, serves those in need in Brighton and the nearby surrounding areas by providing fresh food, personal hygiene and baby products.
Collect and distribute food donations from vendors, parishioners, & Food Bank of the Rockies.
We are currently distributing food on Tuesdays from 9 am until 1 pm. Food can be picked up by driving through the alley behind the food pantry. Due to COVID-19 we are not allowing patrons to enter the pantry.
The food pantry will be holding new volunteer orientation sessions on the second Wednesday of every month at 11:00am in the Parish Life Center.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the food pantry at (303)654-1040 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org to register for orientation.
According to the Food Bank of the Rockies, “1 in 10 Coloradans worry where their next meal will come from. These are people you meet every day – those with low wage jobs, children, seniors on fixed income, those with health issues. Surprisingly, the homeless represent only 10% or our food recipients. Nearly half of the food we distribute feeds children.” The St. Augustine Community Food Pantry is a partner with the Food Bank of the Rockies, serving the Brighton community and Adams County.
If you are thinking of a community service project, please consider a food drive for your local food pantry. St. Augustine Community Food Pantry serves an average of 446 households per month (1862 individuals). Your assistance will make a difference.
The 100% volunteer staff is happy to assist you in planning a food drive with planning, promotional items, and pickup of collected items. Please contact us at email@example.com or call at 303-654-1040 (message service, call will be return asap for information).
